The World's Greatest Super-Heroes differs slightly from other super-hero comics in the way it's told. They are written from a first-person perspective accounting the super-heroes struggles to help humankind. It's sort of like a visual diary.

In the first four stories, Superman, Batman, Shazam and Wonder Woman are featured, each in their own story. Superman is working on eradicating hunger, Batman's trying to stop crime, Shazam visits kids at a hospital and Wonder Woman working towards peace. They found out that solving problems with superpowers isn't as easy as it seems.

Shazam's story is nice because it's just different from the usual super-hero-saving-the-world theme. He visits some kids at the hospital because they wrote letters to him. Although he did prevent the explosion of a dam while taking the kids on excursion.
